Camp Sequoyah
We offer full-day, week-long camps for children ages 5-12 throughout the summer. Each day of camp will feature fun games, crafts, activities, and swimming! Campers will be divided into small groups for safety and spacing. Group will be loosely determined by age as well as families' preferences for keeping siblings together. All activities are subject to change based on weather, staff availability, and current COVID-19 guidelines. No matter what day of the week it is, our goal is to keep kids engaged, active, and, of course, having fun all day long!
Camp runs 7:45 am - 5:15 pm Monday - Friday
Lunch and two snacks are provided each day
Fee: $300 per week including $25 non-refundable deposit (multi-week and sibling discounts available)
Summer Camp & Ongoing COVID-19 Pandemic
Although we’ve entered the new year with more hope as local distribution of the vaccine has begun, we are still planning for another summer with an altered camp structure. Instead of 100 kids all gathering together, we will be dividing into small groups in separate spaces, continuing to wear masks, and staying vigilant with our increased cleaning protocols.
We’ll open registration with 36 available spots per week. If CDC guidelines or state restrictions loosen as summer approaches (i.e. our current situation improves and becomes safer for more people to gather together), we will add campers incrementally from the waitlist. This means that even if a week is already sold out, it is very important that you sign up for the waitlist as soon as possible.
Kanakuk Kampout
Kanakuk Kampout registration is open!
KampOut! is an exciting 5-day program in your community led by professional Kanakuk staff. It’s a great way to introduce your child to summer camp or to let children that are not old enough for Kanakuk’s overnight camps benefit from the fun and learning a camp experience provides. Kids have a blast flying down their zipline, scaling the climbing wall, bouncing in the incredible inflatables, and laughing at their crazy skits!
More information can be found on Kanakuk’s website. Click the link below to register.
Additional Camp Programming
Please see below for additional programming that we’ve created to help families throughout this unprecedented time including childcare for families that have chosen all-virtual or hybrid learning options and coverage for Fayetteville Public Schools’ all-district virtual learning day on April 16.
(Martin Luther King Jr. Day is a federal holiday. Mount Sequoyah Center is closed, and we will not be offering childcare on this day. We are still waiting for clarification from Fayetteville Public Schools in regard to the plan for Presidents’ Day.)
Spring Virtual Facilitation:
January – May 2021
We are offering these camps to help facilitate virtual learning and provide an option for working parents. Each day will consist of logging onto Zoom & Google Classroom, finishing assigned school work, completing Lexia and iReady minutes, independent reading or read alouds (depending on age), outdoor play, and flex time for arts, games, and activities.
Two Snacks are provided each day.
(Please note that lunch is not provided.)
Fee: $52 per day; register by month
FPS All-DistrictVirtual
Learning Day: April 16
On Friday, April 16, we’ll provide combination coverage for the all-district virtual learning day. Think of this day as half virtual facilitation and half camp. We’ll start the morning by getting Chromebooks out and completing assignments. Once everyone is finished (typically mid-morning), we’ll put our computers away and switch to camp mode with our usual assortment of fun games, crafts, activities, and outdoor adventures.
Lunch and Two Snacks are provided.
Fee: $60
(Please note: your child does not need to be attending our semester-long virtual facilitation to register for this one-day option.)
