A reading of DQ, or Our Sovereign State, a new play by Sarah Loucks, will be presented at Mt. Sequoyah on November 6th and 7th.

Lee has his life planned out. Karen is changing her name. Both teenagers are stuck working at the local Dairy Queen on the 4th of July. When they discover their manager has abandoned them, the two teenagers begin plotting a future neither of them expected. Set in the economically desperate midwest, Dairy Queen asks how we create the lives we want when our circumstances dictate otherwise.

When: Nov 6th and 7th at 7:30 pm

Where: Sequoyah Hall

Reservations are not required. The audience is required to be masked at all times. Performers will be unmasked.

Dairy Queen has been developed in Arkansas, Texas, and NYC.
