Mount Sequoyah Center is a non-profit organization dedicated to providing a nurturing environment for artistic expression, personal growth, and connection to nature. When you stay or gather in our beautiful lodging and event spaces you are supporting a wide range of invaluable educational and cultural programs, including Camp Sequoyah, concerts, swim education, tennis, outdoor recreation, workshops, retreats, artist residencies, and community gatherings. Our mountain top is located just minutes from downtown Fayetteville.

Our story

Founded in 1922 by the Methodist Church’s South Central Jurisdiction, as a summer retreat, spiritual center, and faith-based training facility west of the Mississippi River, Mount Sequoyah began with a commitment from the city of Fayetteville of 400 acres.  Our history gives us the strength to continue serving future generations in our community.

Vision

Mount Sequoyah has provided lodging, meeting space, and been a community hub for over 100 years in Fayetteville, AR. With a strong board of directors and a dedicated staff we intend to continue being a vital member of the Fayetteville arts community as well as provided vital event space in a natural environment for the next 100 years.
